The replacement boom is $29.99 plus shipping and I’ve broken two booms, replaced once and did this mod on the second broken boom.

Items needed:

11mm OD diameter round boom

heat shrink with adhesive built into it

hand tools

Purchase a 11mm OD diameter boom from your local hobby store.  Cut two 3” pieces from the broken boom.  File the ends of the cut pieces.  Install the pieces on each side of the new boom, apply heat shrink and reinstall the new boom
